About Me

Background

Heya I'm Anh. I'm currently a second year student at University of Toronto studying neuroscience and computer science. In the past, I've been solely focused on building in AI and working at different startups, from AI government, to video games & more. Now, I want to go deep into a field I'm curious about & hopefully pivot into research. This website serves as a digital garden where I share my thoughts, projects, and discoveries. Feel free to explore and connect with me through the links below.

I'm currently in the process of self-learning by reading research papers on the intersection of neuroscience and AI, particularly regarding ML models (CNNs) to control and enhance robotic and neuroprosthetic tech to assist those with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinsons.

Interests & Activities

Outside of that, I love reading! I've been reading since 12, my fav being the Geronimo Stilton series and history books – related to the cold war and the holocaust. In recent years, I've been more into philosophy books – my favourite author being Dostoevsky.

In the past, I've done competitive swimming and loves to travel (13 countries and counting! -- recently solo travelled to the U.S! I also have a big appreciation for the Japanese language & Kanji so I spent 4 years studying the language & obtained an N2 degree (like IELTS for Japanese).

I also cook & bake in my freetime! I'm going to be baking with my friends Daniel and Brenda for the upcoming Socratica symposium, where our goal is to raise $1,000 – all the money will go to baking for 3,000+ people at the symposium, and the rest is towards a youth shelter for at-risk youth called Horizons for youth. You can also support our baking initiative for the symposium through our Cookie Collective page.

I also, write & enjoys learning statistics and math proofs, so much I made a flipbook for the subject, check it out here!
